My Life Coaching Experience

Having worked in coaching for over 14 years, firstly as a sports coach, I have seen first-hand that the difference at elite level is all down to mindset, not luck or ability.

Imagine who you will be when you can speak up. When you have confidence, you are free from anxiety, and you know that you are good enough. When you can show up authentically, fully accepting yourself and all the quirks and traits that make you the amazing soul that you are. How will you live your life differently? Blended Life Coaching

95% of our behaviour is subconscious. Subconscious programming mostly happens during childhood so many of the beliefs you hold are not your own! Awareness is the first step to changing.

We cannot see our own thinking, but with my help, you will delve into what makes you tick and identify the programming that is and is not helpful to you. I use a selection of effective psychological tools to help you change the subconscious programming that is not serving you; and life coaching to help you to create and achieve your goals.

Once you have mastered the subconscious, everything else comes easily.

  • NLP, or Neuro Linguistic Programming therapy is a psychological approach that aims to improve communication and personal development by examining the relationships between language, behaviour, and the mind.

    Life coaches that use NLP believe that by changing the language we use to describe our experiences and the way we think about them, we can change our behaviour and achieve our goals.

    During a life coaching session, a life coach may use NLP techniques to help clients identify and change limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

    By understanding the underlying thought processes and language patterns that contribute to these issues, clients can develop new ways of thinking and speaking that better support their goals and aspirations.

  • Metaphor therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses metaphors to help clients explore and understand their experiences. Grovian Metaphor therapy was developed by the late psychologist, David Grove. He developed it through his work with trauma victims such as war veterans and survivors of sexual abuse. A wonderful thing about the process is that it does not require clients to relive past traumas in order to heal: all the necessary information is contained within their metaphoric landscape.

    Within the subconscious mind is an entire world of metaphors which we often use in our communication without realising. Metaphor therapy creates a bridge between this subconscious world and the conscious world. In a coaching session, this bridge can be used to help create desired changes effortlessly.

    Working with metaphors, allows for neuroplasticity to occur, an effective session actually changes and creates new desired neural pathways.

    A metaphor session is enjoyable and fun. Many clients find it deeply soothing and they feel understood on a deep level. In life coaching, metaphor therapy can be used to help clients explore and understand their goals, values, and motivations. Metaphor therapy can also be used to help clients overcome obstacles and challenges by reframing their experiences in a more positive and empowering way.
